Roberta Ann Hogue, 74, of Hogue Hollow Road, Junction City died Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was born on Hogue Hollow Road on May 20, 1944 to the late Arthur Hardin and Mamie Mae Clem Hogue. Roberta worked as a waitress at Bunboy and Town House then Holiday Inn. She enjoyed music and playing the piano, UK basketball. Roberta loved her family and spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Angela Cummins Owens; three sisters, Helen Hogue, Naomi Hogue and Doris Jean Blevins.
She is survived by a daughter, Frankie Jo (Rick) Wofford, two brothers, Lewis Hogue, Arthur L. Hogue; five grandchildren, Nikki Jo Rothwell, Rusty Rothwell, Amanda (Travis) Hightower, Taryn Abbott, Jeremy (Sarah) Wofford; eleven great grandchildren, Brayden Wofford, Libby Oliver, Henry Wofford, Lexi Lawson, Daisy Isaacs, Colin Abbott, Taylor Abbott, Ashlyn Hightower, Braelyn Hightower, Ellelyn Hightower, Madelyn Hightower; a son-in-law, Gary Owens and a longtime special friend, Darrell Johnson.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Daryl Hahn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brayden Wofford, Jeremy Wofford, Rusty Rothwell, Colin Abbott, Gary Owens and Rick Wofford. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Memorial donations are suggested to Colin’s Dream (www.colinsdream.com).

Roberta Mae Hogue, 80, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was born on November 25, 1937 in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Howard J. and Mary Ellen Williamson Hogue. Roberta worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Kentucky State Hospital before retiring from Eastern State Hospital. She loved drawing, painting, swimming,watching movies, music and dance. Roberta loved her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Jackie Underwood, Barry (Angela) Underwood, Larry Underwood and Shawn (Jamie Gosser) Underwood; a daughter, Debbie (Eric Keith) Underwood Weaver; a brother, Freddie (Ann) Hogue; a sister, Ruth Hogue (Karl) Luttrell; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Trent) Penn, Cara (Ryan) Cook, Brett Underwood, Austin Underwood, Clint Underwood,Jessica (Zach) Buchanan ; six great grandchildren, Lleyton Penn, London Cook, Natalie Underwood, Gracee Buchanan, Jaxson Buchanan, Skylar Buchanan.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Dan Garland will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Hogue, Chris Hogue, Mark Wilson, Todd Wilson, Chad Wilson and Karl Luttrell. Honorary pallbearer will be Linda Coffman, Jody Stone, Marie Garland, Ruth Luttrell, Benny Underwood, Tony Underwood and Zack Gosser. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Sunday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all of the staff at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation for the care they provided Roberta. Memorial donations are suggested to the Hedgeville Baptist Church.
