Robert Wayne Cornett, 73, died Friday, July 27, 2018.  He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on July 28, 1944 to the late Robert B. Cornett and Molly Leon Holmes Cornett. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps.  He worked as a Flagman for the Kentucky Highway Department and had been a Butcher.  Robert married Tammy Adams, the love of his life, on July 22, 1982.  He and Tammy were inseparable and loved to fish together.  He loved to fish, hunt and raised Coon Dogs.  Robert was a great storyteller and knew a lot of people.  He was a great father and husband.  He loved his family and spending time with them.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Raleigh Lane Cornett and a sister, Myrtle June (Tootsie) Hughett. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Adams Cornett of Junction City; a daughter Vanessa Ilene Cornett of Junction City; two sisters Mary Catherine KuyKendall of Orlando, Florida, Martha Sue (Vernon) Boots of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.  Rev. Earnest Fields Jr. will officiate.  Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.
