Ricky Richardson

May 24, 1958 ~ August 2, 2022
Ricky Clark Richardson, 64, entered his eternal rest on August 2, 2022, in Junction City. Ricky was born on May 24th, 1958, to the late Jimmy Clark and Thelma Jean Clem Richardson. Ricky loved growing tomatoes, dirt track racing, and collecting historic items from Junction City and Boyle County High School. He was regarded as the local historian and sought out for his expansive knowledge. Affectionately known as “Superman”, Ricky enjoyed bringing smiles and conversation in many local venues around Boyle County and the state of Kentucky, especially the Summer Nights Cruise and Friday Night Block party. Boyle County High School was his second home, as he entered its doors in 1972 as a freshman. As of August 31, this year, he would have been there a total of 50 years. Beginning work upon graduation in 1977 as a custodian with a joy to work each day to serve others and have a clean, functional, safe building. He adored all the children and staff over many years. He truly loved ALL things Rebels! Ricky loved his Jesus, family, and Country. Ricky will always leave a footprint on the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. If there ever was a “Superman” Ricky certainly fit the bill. In addition to his parents Ricky was predeceased by his Maternal grandparents, Mack Rue and Nora Bell Clem and his Paternal grandparents, Walter Otis and Delma Alice Richardson. Ricky had a very special admiration for Pappy (Mack Clem).
Ricky is survived by his sister, Sheila Lynn Richardson of McMinnville, Tennessee; a brother, Keith Lee (Maggie) Richardson of Russell Springs; a nephew, Jeremy Greene of Columbia, Kentucky; two great nephews; one Aunt Margaret Ann Louderback; and many cousins.

Ricky and I attended Junction City Elementary as well as Boyle County High School. I still remember he was my partner to walk with whenever we had to leave the classroom as first graders! We had many classes together at Junction City. I was honored by his presence at both my parents visitation. We shared memories of our time growing up in Junction City! He will be missed by many!

One sign of a life well lived is that you will be missed by many, even by those who did not know you well. You were a fixture at the Pioneer Playhouse. You lived life well. And you will be missed by many.
