Richard Meaux

Richard Meaux, 78, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born in Danville on March 5, 1942 to the late Wallace and Sarah Belle McCormick Meaux. Richard retired from Boyle County Housing Authority Maintenance Department. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Richard enjoyed fishing and cooking. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy, Charles, Jimmy, Wallace, and Lee Meaux. He is survived by his son, William Harvey Lewis of Ohio; two daughters, Dianne Patrice Mason of Ohio, Portia Renee Edelen (James) of Virginia; a brother, Samuel Meaux of Danville; three sisters, Eugenia Carpenter, Sarah Florence Meaux and Dora Meaux all of Danville; eight grandchildren, Jamar, Keelin, Keasja, Destin, Shakayla, Elijah, Autumn, Malik, Jeffrey; five great grandchildren, Jaciyon, Easton, Lyfe, Arrayah, Adrian; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mrs. Juddy Singleton. Services will be 1pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am - 1pm, prior to the service, Thursday.
