Ray L. Williams, 73, of Cardinal Drive, Danville, Kentucky died October 17, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1947 in Danville. He was the son of the late Russell Lee Williams and Kathleen Floyd Williams of Danville. Ray was predeceased by his first wife , Clarice Jean Reid Williams. Survivors include his wife Sandra Lee Underwood Williams; one daughter, Andrea Rae Williams Mesplay (John); one sister, Janet Williams; twin grandsons, Harrison Williams Mesplay and Jackson Graham Mesplay all of Danville; Sandra’s children, Lisa S. Euler (David), Richard D. Stump (Lisa Anne) all of Scott County. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Haga and Deborah Stanley of Grayson County, Virginia. Ray is also survived by Clarice’s sisters, Barbara True (Curtis) of Liberty, Virginia Kendrick (George) of Lexington; nephew, Gary True (Mindy) of Harrodsburg; nieces, Audrey True Rousey (Scott) of Liberty, Davida Gyr (Ron) of Frankfort and Heather Johnson of Frankfort. Ray was an Army veteran having served active and reserves for fourteen and a half years, discharged with the rank of E-8 (First Sergeant). He earned two college degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He retired from teaching in June of 2005 after teaching for thirty-one years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, National Retired Teachers Association and the American Welding Society. He was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church. Ray taught Sunday School for many years and was a Youth Group leader at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. He was an avid genealogist and loved spending time with his family and friends. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Indian Hills Christian Church. Reverend Odis Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will from 12 – 1 prior to the service. Andrea and John will not be receiving friends at the visitation. Pallbearers are Richard Stump, Gary True, Scott Rousey, Michael Euler, Ricky Euler, Dave Euler, Connor True, Harrison Mesplay and Jackson Mesplay. Honorary Pallbearers are Ervin Farmer, David Williams, Jerry Germann, Eddie Durr, Duane Flora, Hugh Jones and the Barnabas Sunday School Class.   1. Mr. Williams worked with my mother for many years. He was one of my favorite people at the school. He was always very kind my mother held him in high regards. So very sorry for your loss

  5. I went to Harrodsburg voc school in the yrs 92/93 Mr Williams was teaching I really enjoyed being one of his students he taught me a lot I am really going to miss him thank you ,Mr Williams (RIP)

  6. Andrea, I have been praying for you and for Ray in recent days. Just know that I have fond memories of Clarice and Ray when we were young couples at LABC.
