Ralph Simpson died on June 29, 2026, at the age of 71. Ralph was born on January 27, 1955, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Hayden and Ruth Corder Simpson,  where he touched the hearts of many in his community. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Richard Simpson, niece, Michelle Lynn Simpson, brother-in-law, Paul Cross, and sister-in-law, Carol Simpson.

Ralph was a kind and gentle soul. He attended Boyle County Special Education classes, where he made lifelong friends and enjoyed being part of a supportive community. Ralph enjoyed attending Gethsemane Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving brother, Mike Simpson, and his sister, Teresa Cross and nieces and nephews, Chris (Melodie) Cross, DJ (Alanta) Cross, Jimmy (Chrissy) Cross, Nikki Cross, Matthew (Sarah Bell) Simpson, Luis (Sarah) Simpson, Steven Simpson, Sarah Simpson (Corey Eicholtz), several great nieces and nephews, and a special friend Dejuana Neely. Ralph’s family, who were his constant source of love and support, will forever hold his memory dear to their hearts.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on July, 8, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home of Danville with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on July 7, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home of Danville. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello.
