Pearl Maxine McDowell Alsman, 65, died Friday, January 11, 2019. Daughter of the late Kenneth Floyd and Naomi Maxine Schaffner McDowell, she was born February 27, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Pearl was a homemaker and in her free time she liked sewing and scrapbooking. She was a member of Worldstown Road Church of God.
Pearl is survived by her husband, Billy Russell Alsman of Junction City; a sister, Barbara (Charles) Watts of Harrodsburg; half-sisters, Roberta Vogle and Billie Vogle, both of Middlesburg, Iowa; and a brother, Kenneth McDowell Jr. of Williamsburg, Iowa; her niece and nephew, Bonnie and Charles Camden and their children.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Wendell Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in the Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
