Paul Thomas Henderson
October 5, 1946 ~ July 24, 2021
Paul Thomas Henderson, 74, husband of Anne Hudson Henderson, died Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was surrounded by his family at the home he built in Danville, KY. Paul professed an unwavering faith and is now in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Born October 5, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, he spent most of his early life in western Kentucky. He graduated with a Masters in Physics from Murray State University and then served in the U.S. Army as a chaplain’s assistant during the Vietnam War. Prior to his career with the U.S. Department of Transportation, he was a dairy farmer and builder. Outside of work, he designed and built many homes. A true craftsman, his technical mastery and curious mind were an inspiration to many, especially his children.
Paul’s entire life was marked by communion with the Church. He guided his family daily toward the Gospel and loved the Lord deeply. Through every season of life, including his final months, he reminded his family and friends, “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anne Hudson Henderson; a daughter, Marian Henderson (Scott) Hogan of Shelbyville, KY; three sons, Mark Thomas (Sarah Jones) Henderson of Louisville, KY, Joshua Thomas (Edie) Henderson of Morgantown, WV, and Andrew Henry Henderson of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Shelby and Matthew Hogan and Scarlett and Violet Henderson; and one niece, Sarah Cimino. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Georgia Ross Henderson, and his nephew, Peter Cimino.
