Patricia Bottoms, 80, died July 29, 2022, in Danville. Born May 29, 1942, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Theda “Tiny” Neikirk. Patricia started her career as a housekeeper at Friendship Fellowship Home and then went on to work at McDowell Place of Danville for 15 years. She married Kenneth Bottoms on August 2, 1958, in Jellico, Tennessee. They were blessed with four children, Kenny Bottoms, Terri Bell, Sherri Hodge, and Traci Preston. Patricia was best known for her strength and her caring heart. Throughout life’s struggles, she didn’t let the world change her. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Theda; her husband, Kenneth; her brother, James Neikirk; son, James Raymond Bottoms; and her son-in-law, Duane Bell.   Patricia is survived by her sister, Martha Doe Scott; four children, Kenny Bottoms (Donna), Terri Bell, Sherri Hodge (Ted), and Traci Preston (Scott); nine grandchildren, Brandon Preston (Charla), Matthew Preston, Kelsey Hover (Ryan), Austin Bell (Shelby), Tristin Bell, Kandace McClelland (Ryan), Brianna Bell, Stephanie Hardin (Dudley), and Josh Cravens; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Allie Preston, Jaxtyn, Waylon, and Walker Bell, and Mason and Cason Hardin.   Funeral service for Mrs. Patricia Bottoms will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Southland Christian Church, Danville Campus. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Southland Christian Church, Danville Campus. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Perryville.
