Resided in: Waynesburg, Kentucky

Owen Anderson Hill, 46, gained his wings on August 29, 2024. He was born on November 13, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky to Blanch Beatrice and the late Russell Anderson Hill.

Owen worked hard to take care of his family at Denyo Manufacturing in Danville Kentucky. His friend and co-workers there share memories with his family, “Gonna be tough not having morning coffee with him, talking about working on his cars. He loved his family and was good at his job. You will be missed. Rest easy buddy”.

He enjoyed tinkering on cars, watching movies and eating Hershey kisses. Owen and his family love their animals. His two favorites were Sadie and Gizmo. His dogs were spoiled rotten, loved and cared for as much as his kids. Owen was the happiest when he was spending time with his wife, kids and family.

Owen is survived by his beautiful wife of 17 years, Lisa Greer-Hill.  He was blessed with four children, Jacob R Hill, Courtney Douglas Mae Hill (Sophie), Hannah Hilbert (Ryan), Landon Bullock (Alexis), mother, Blanch Hill, three grandchildren, that was his love and light, Paisley Brock, Grayson Hilbert, Janie Hilbert, four siblings, Donna Hill, Marcy Hill, John Maggard, Sarah Maggard, and Kimberly Hill.

Owen would be saying to you today and everyday “I LOVE YOU.  SEE YOU IN THE SKY”!

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Although it’s been many years since I’ve had the joy of being around you I will always remember that you always made me smile or laugh. Your kindness, beauty, and strength will live in those that love you forever.

  2. So sorry to get the news that Owen passed. We knew each other in high school and later on in life when he worked at Cadillac Ranch. Owen was always a sweetheart, and it’s heartbreaking to hear that he is no longer with us. I haven’t seen him in years but will always have a spot in my heart for him. Prayers to his family and close friends.
“Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.”

  3. Thanks for your kind words about my husband. He was everything you said more. We actually met at Cadillac ranch.
He will always and forever be in our hearts. We love and miss him more then I ever knew I could!

  4. My beloved son my first born I love you so much I’m missing you like crazy I know you would say it’s gonna be ok mom …..

  5. You showed me a lot of things.

    I learned a lot I didn’t know,

But you forgot to teach me one last thing –

    How to let you go.

    I know you didn’t mean to leave me;

    Sometimes we have no choice.

I miss being your little sister,

Hearing my name called by your voice.

I wish I got to say “I Love You”

Before you were given to the sky.

If God could grant me one last wish,

    I’d ask to say “Goodbye.”

You always meant a lot to me.

I could never love you less,

I know it’s true when they say,

    “He only takes the best.”

  6. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed by so many he was a good man and very easy to get along with. I know this is gonna be very difficult for you all. Take one day at a time. My thoughts and prayers are with you Lisa and the rest of the family. Rest easy my friend

  7. I have known the Hill Family for a very long time. His mother was looking for a safe place to raise her young children. It’s seemed we like each other from that day forward.
Owen has grown from that young child to a wonderful person who always saw the best in everyone.
I am so proud of all he has accomplished.
Hold tight to all your memories and God will help you get through your pain. Take it a day at a time and do it your way.
God Bless the Hill Family. Love you all.

  8. Hey bubby it’s me baby sis. Your service was beautiful your amazing wife did a wonderful job just like you knew she would. I miss you more than words could ever describe. You were such a core for this family & it’s so hard moving forward. But I know that’s what you would want. I love you so much. You will never ever ever be forgotten. Save a spot for me so we can talk about how heavy you was 😂 but I would do it again. Also a lot don’t know this but you gave me my terrible name and no matter how much I dislike it now I will forever be proud of my name because of you ❤️❤️
