Nannie (Nan) Ellen McCowan
September 8, 1927 ~ June 15, 2018
Nan Ellen McCowan went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2018. Born September 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Cox Rousey. She was a graduate of Junction City High School and Fugazzi Business School. She was a former employee of Genesco, retiring to accept a position with Farmers National Bank and retiring after 32 years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Larry and Dewey Rousey; her husband of 59 years, George Edward McCowan.
She is survived by her son Randall McCowan.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Brad King will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Judes Children\'s Hospital.

It is said that how you make others feel says a lot about the kind of person you are…all of my memories of Aunt Nanny are of her making me feel loved and cared for, that I was special.

Nan has been a special friend and family member for many years. She has always been a sweet and loving person. Nan will be greatly missed by all who knew her, I know I will miss her very much.. I always enjoyed our visits and chats and working on the family history.
