Nancy Jane Farley

Nancy Jane Evans Farley, 92 of Danville died Friday following a long illness. Born September 21, 1925 in Shelbyville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland and Thelma Kennedy Evans. She was a graduate of Junction City High School and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Jane loved to grow a flower garden, can, and cook for family gatherings. Her grandfather was C.P. Kennedy who owned Kennedy’s Mill prior to the Herrington Lake construction. She is the widow of the late Gene Farley, and a sister, Mary Anne Evans, and brothers, A.C. “Jack” Evans, Jr., Bill Evans and Jim Evans.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Patricia Farley of Danville, a sister, Betty Jo Edwards of Danville and a brother, Tom (Elka) Evans of Danville.
The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Rev. Gene Shields will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
