Michael Ray Correll, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2026, at his home in Lancaster, KY. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 7, 1947 and grew up in Science Hill, KY.  Mike worked as a journeyman tool & die maker and Electrician.  He retired from Matsushita Panasonic Co. in Danville, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Polston Correll, his parents Lucian and Ines New Correll, his grandparents Isiah Correll and Margaret Correll,  his brother Manual Correll, and his granddaughter Gabrielle Morgan Blanton.

Mike married Karen Sue Polston on September 30, 1967, they were united in marriage for 59 years before her passing.  Mike loved his family and being a grandfather.  He also loved spending time outside working in the garden, landscaping, or tinkering with tools in his garage.

Mike’s faith in God was strong and he was actively involved in his church prior to illness. Mike and Karen found their first church home together on March 10, 1980, at Nelson Valley Baptist Church. Years later, after relocating to Danville, KY they found their second church home at Unity Baptist Church, where they were founding members.  Mike was so proud to serve as the door greeter and caretaker of his church grounds.

Mike is survived by his daughter Shannon Lee Correll Blanton (Paul), granddaughter Michaela Paige Blanton (Anh), and brother Jason Correll.

A memorial gathering and celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Heritage Hospice in Danville, KY.
