Marvin Gragg Lunsford, Sr., 80, died Monday, February 5, 2018.  He was born in Boyle County on December 4, 1937 to the late Luther Barnett and Bessie Mae Shepperson Lunsford. Marvin attended Junction City High School and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1959 to 1963.  He retired from the Boyle County Housing Authority’s Modernization Department in 1997.  Marvin was a Mason at the Roberston Masonic Lodge #266 in Louisville.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, squirrell hunting and attending swap meets.  Marvin cherished family camping trips to Green River.    In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Luther Barnett Lunsford, Jr., Walter Lunsford and a sister, Ella Vernon. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Lunsford; two sons, Marvin Gragg (Sheila) Lunsford Jr. of Junction City, Ricky Lee (Renda) Lunsford of Danville; a sister, Helen (Bill) Wright of Comisky, Indiana; six grandchildren, Michael Lunsford, Cody Lunsford, Charlie Adams, Brad Moore, Aaron (Tammy) Moore, Chasity Moore; several great-grandchild. The funeral service will be at 11am, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.  Rev. Brad King will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Briscoe Crain, Scott Thompson, Isiah Moore, Michael Lunsford, Brad Moore, Aaron Moore and Charlie Adams.  Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Snow.  Interment will be in Junction City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5pm-8pm, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the funeral home in Junction City.  A Masonic Service will be held at 7pm Thursday.  Memorial donations are suggested to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
