Martha Joyce White Jett, 98, widow of Jeptha Rayburn Jett, died Friday, June 16, 2023. She was born January 27, 1925, in Perryville, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Gilbert Lee and Lillie Mae Coyle White. She was a homemaker and office manager at Farmers Supply Company of Danville, KY. She was a graduate of Danville High School, attended Centre College and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was a lifelong member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Ephraim McDowell regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, George White and sister, Imogene White Bottorff.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Shelby (JoAnn) Jett of Abingdon, VA. and Alan Lee (Shelley) Jett of Floyds Knobs, IN; four grandsons, Cory L. (Mairin) Jett of Floyds Knobs, IN, Shelby D. (Amanda) Jett of Floyds Knobs, IN, Andrew C. (Theresa) Jett of Floyds Knobs, IN, Christopher N. Jett of Deltona, FL, and a granddaughter, Melissa J. (Wayne) Hodges of Lake Helen, FL. Other survivors are eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at noon following visitation with Rev. Basil Hall officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Joy Class at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, Boyle County Public Library and the Danville-Boyle Co. Humane Society.
Visitation: 11am - 12pm, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
Service: 12pm, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
Burial: Bellevue Cemetery.
