Malinda Kay Gowins

Malinda Kay Gowins, 39, died Sunday, August 23, 2020.  She was born in Hicksville, Ohio on January 27,1981 to Jennifer Ann McCarty Dirrim and the late Monty Joseph Gowins.  Malinda was a graduate of Burgin High School and attended Sullivan University.  She began a non-profit LLC to assist families with the cost of funerals and burials called “Stranger Love.”  Malinda loved her family dearly and spending lots of time with her grandsons.  She was full of life with an infectious laugh and never met a stranger.  Malinda was always eager to help people and got along with everyone.  In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her God-family, Raymond and Iesha Taliaferro. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jennifer and James Dirrim; four sons, Colten Gowins, Sybastian Dunn, Javahn Huguely and “Stink” Gowins; two daughters, Aeryauna Dunn, Ananiah Huguely; a brother, Joseph McCarty; two grandchildren, Amauri Dunn-Easterling and Kayden B. Gowins and two half-sisters and one half- brother in Indiana.
