Linda Kinley
March 29, 1951 ~ January 6, 2022
Linda Ford Kinley, 70, departed this life to be with her heavenly father on January 6, 2022. She was born in Danville to the late Chester and Lucille Cowherd Ford on March 29, 1951. Linda was a retired caregiver from BHI and a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister,
aunt, mother-in-law and friend. Linda was an avid UK fan. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, of 34 years, Benjamin Allen Kinley; her siblings, Brenda Ford, Geraldine “Sandy” Harris, Thomas “Butter” Ford and Jerry Ford.
She leaves to cherish her memory five sons, Chris Ford, Frunca Ford, Ben Kinley Ford (Melissa) all of Danville, Jeffrey Kinley (Marita) of Richmond, Kelvin Kinley (Misty Llamas) of Danville; nine grandchildren, Brooklyn, Araya, Damion, Gavyn, Jeffrey, Channing, MaKayla (Kyron), Kelsey (Austin), Cedric; one great grandchild, Alaki; a sister, Camille Dawson (the late Gary); special friend, Arthur Brown, Sr; brother-in-law, Larry Harris, Sr.; three sister-in-laws, Doris Trumbo (Bobby), Sederia Ford, Delores Ford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 5pm – 7pm, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church.
The private funeral service will be immediate family and by invitation only. Rev. Ronnie McCowan will officiate. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chester Ford, Kurt Dawson, Gary Michael Dawson, Larry Harris, John Eddie Kinley, DaMont Kinley and Elijah Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyron Warren, Steve Thompson, Alan Thompson, Tony Tongue, Antwan Brown, Johnny Beasley and Darnell Prewitt.
