Lena Frances Horton Burton, 82, died May 25, 2021, in Danville, Kentucky. Born April 11, 1939, in Lincoln Co. Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Bryant and Lucy Marie Stevens Horton. Lena was a graduate of Danville High School, class of 1958. She retired as a sign maker for AD-Mart and was a Mary Kay Cosmetics representative. Lena was a very generous and caring person who always thought about others and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and family. She loved the little things, beautiful flowers, and was a passionate quilter. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Arnold Burton; her two sons; Michael Shawn Hatter and Mark Jeffery Hatter and a brother Eddie Jay Horton. She is survived by two grandchildren, Michael “Mike” (Kayla) Hatter of Danville, Kentucky and their daughter Everleigh Grace Hatter, and Crystal Hatter of Salisbury, North Carolina and her daughter, Lexi Hatter; four step-sons Lee (Crystal) Burton of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, John (Holly) Burton of Florida, Scott Burton of Jacksonville, Florida and Steve Burton of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Lois Hester Van Hook and Gracy Jean Mastin; two brothers, Wallace Ray (Liz) Horton and Edmond Eugene Horton; a daughter in-law Pam Hatter Woods and a sister in-law Kathy Horton of Elliotville. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, June 1, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Rev. Jody Coontz will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mathew Coontz, Scott Burton, John Burton, Steve Burton, Michael Hatter, Darin Horton, Junior Woods, and Josh Horton. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Horton, Jody Coontz, Roger Gibson, Philip Coontz, Timmy Coontz. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
