Kurt Thomas ‘Tommy’ Greer, 66, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was born in Danville, KY on September 17, 1950, son of the late William Kurtz and Lillie Mae Sinkhorn Greer. Tommy was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt and Hammons Trucking Company. He attended Hustonville Baptist Church. Tommy loved Nascar, U.K. basketball, and driving race cars. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two grandchildren, Franklin Greer, and Dalton Miller, and a brother, Richard Greer.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Fender Greer of Stanford; one son, Michael Willoughby of Lexington, KY; four daughters, Melissa (Danny) Gross of Crab Orchard, KY, Jacqueline Greer of Stanford, Lisa Greer (Owen) of Hustonville, KY, and Bralyn Greer of Stanford, KY; four sisters, Janice Goode, Judy (David) Belcher, Rhonda (Butch) Spears all of Junction City, KY, and Sherry Belcher of Parksville, KY; six grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Gould, Dakota Holmberg, Andrew Holmberg, Nate Cummins, Courtney Douglas, and Jacob Hill and one great-grandson, Brantley Gould.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, at 1 pm, August 23, 2017, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City, KY. Rev. Wendell Douglas will officiate. Burial will be at Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Willoughby, Owen Hill, Clay Greer, Richard Greer Jr., Ricky Sinkhorn, and T.C. Propes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessica Gould, Dakota Holmberg, Andrew Holmberg, Courtney Douglas, Jacob Hill, Nate Cummins, T.J. Propes, and Bralyn Greer. Visitation will be 5 pm – 9 pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
