Kathy Sue Hines

Kathy Sue Hines, 72, died on August 26, 2024.  She was born in Danville on July 17, 1952, to the late James Dewaine and Euna Fugate Hines.  Kathy was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.   According to her niece, Kathy was “a soap opera watcher, a Jesus lover, a boom box listener, a beaded jewelry maker, and a snuggler of babies and pups alike.”

Kathy is survived by her sister, Gloria (Gary) Cofflet, brother, Tom (Tammy) Hines, nieces, Tara (Trampas) Newberry, Trisha (Phillip) Tillett, and Megan (Jason) Elsea, nephews, Scott Pierce, Jeff (Jennifer) Pierce, Tony (Ashley) Sears, and Nicholas (Brittney) Adams, a special niece, Maggie Nickels, a special sister, Marlene Hines, and special friends, Jackie Raines and Lori Lynn, 14 great-nieces and nephews and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Gethsemane Baptist Church.  Bro. Tim Mathis will officiate.  An online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
