Kathleen Hays Brewsaugh, 87, died Friday, June 15, 2018.  She was born in Danville on April 3, 1931 to the late Hugh R. and Sally Parsons Hays.  Kathleen was a lifelong member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and was on committee to start Calvary Baptist Church.  She filled roles as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and music director between the two churches.  Kathleen loved music of all types and was in “KY Belles” for several years.  She was a 1949 graduate of Danville High School.   In 1950, Kathleen married her husband, Gilbert Brewsaugh.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Baird, Sisk & Bailey for 30 years, then traveled for medical meetings for Symbiotics for 10 years.  Kathleen lived in the same home for 53 years and had a great life. She is survived by four children, Debbie (Jim) Reynierson, Gil Brewsaugh, Denise (Danny) Moody, Darlene (John) Lovejoy; eight grandchildren, Jamie, Lori, Matthew, Jason, Danielle, Courtney, Lauren, Chelsea; ten great grandchildren, Bryce, Harrison, Harper, Caroline, Hays, Lincoln, Clover, Kaia, Abi and Case.   1. She was a beautiful, gracious lady, with her lovely smile. She was always so kind and helpful at the doctor\’s office, it made the visits always go a little better. My prayers and sympathy to her family, I know she will be missed.

  3. Dear Gil, Darlene, Denise and Debbie and all: Paula and I and our extended family will be away on a vacation trip during the time of your Mom’s Visitation and Funeral. We regret we will not be able to honor Kathleen as her life was wonderfully lived and gladly shared by all she met and loved. Kathleen was the most cheerful and happy person I have ever met, but you know that of course. Please know our Sunday School class will miss her and remember her for all time.

  11. We adored Kathleen! She was my mentor and friend. I\’m devastated at her loss, but I know I will see her again someday. We are unable to attend the service because I had surgery yesterday, but our thoughts and prayers are truly with you all today and in the coming weeks and months. I am thankful to God for her life and friendship!

  12. We will miss your mom. Knew her first from Baird & Sisk, then from LABC when we became members there. So enjoyed taking trips with her. She would lead us in singing on the bus, telling jokes. Then we would request her to tell the Cinderella story. A fun sweet lady
