Karen Hromyak Ross, 76, of Naples, FL and Warren, Ohio died Wednesday, November 1, 2017. She was born in Brookfield, Ohio on December 16, 1940 to George and Laina Hromyak. Karen held two Masters degrees (Education, School Psychology) and she worked for over 40 years as a School Psychologist, Guidance Counselor, Professor, and Teacher in Ohio, Florida, and Kentucky. Karen also served as a clinical therapist in Ohio and Florida.
Karen was an avid antiques collector and owned “Karen’s” antiques on 5th Ave in Naples, FL. She was continually active in her community and for causes that she was passionate about: Chairmen of Naples Ohio State Alumni Association, Delegate to Democratic National Convention, President Delta Kappa Gamma, President of Ohio Education Association, President Southwest Florida Association of School Psychologists, Member of Lexington Women’s Club. Member of Howland United Methodist Church in Ohio and Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples, FL.
She is survived by her only daughter, Wendy K. (Chris) White, two grandchildren, Peyton White and Cameron White of Danville, Kentucky and brother, George (Carol) Hromyak of Frankfort, Kentucky.
There will be a visitation 6pm-8pm, Monday, November 6, 2017, Stith Funeral Home in Danville, Kentucky. A funeral service at a later date in Ohio. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

We were saddened to hear of your loss. We were blessed to have many happy memories of our cousin Karen. She was a very caring person and will be greatly missed.
