Karen Rose

Karen Sale Rose, 55, of Danville Kentucky passed away in Lexington on September 17, 2022 after a battle with Breast Cancer and Leukemia. She was born in Mechanicsburg PA to Harlene and the late Donald Sale of Lynchburg Va.

Karen dearly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and taking trips to Lynchburg Virginia to visit her mother. She loved the Christmas season and decorating her numerous Christmas trees and house for the occasion. She enjoyed various types of crafting such as cross stitching and diamond art, especially during her time in the hospital. She loved the TV show, Gilmore Girls and was a fan of her alma mater, Liberty University, the Green Bay Packers as well as the Pittsburg Steelers.

Karen and her husband have been members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Danville for over 20 years. In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her husband Tim, daughter Rebecca (Mark) Wilson and Megan (Michael) Griffin as well as her grandchildren, Nathan, Asher, Shiloh, Jordan, Lexus, and Lebron. Her brothers, Ronald (Sue) Sale, Kenneth Sale and sister, Rebecca (Tom) Zillhardtt and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11am at Grace Presbyterian Church in Danville. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UK Markey Cancer Foundation www.ukmarkey.org .
