Joyce Ann King Cochran, 73, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was born in Parksville, Kentucky on October 21, 1944 to the late Herstle and Ollie Pearl Hillard King.   Joyce was a 1962 graduate of Parksville High School and a graduate of Durhams Beauty School. As a licensed beautician, she worked with Sibbie Durham and at Fantastic Sams.    She retired from KSD as a houseparent. After retirement Joyce was a caregiver, a receptionist at H & R Block and cashier at Super Patriot Food Mart.  Joyce enjoyed crocheting, canning, fishing and cooking for her whole family.  She was an avid Kentucky BBN fan.   In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Mish Cochran; and siblings, Curtis King and Minnie Caldwell. She is survived by her son, James (Kimberly) Wayne of Garrard County; three daughters, Angela Lyons of Danville, Cindy (Keith) Bicknell of Richmond, Donna (Kenny) Carey of Hustonville; two sisters, Lenora Farrell (the late Norman) of Danville, Gail (Eric) Hogue of Parksville; two brothers, Gary (Pat) King and Calvin (Ruby) King both of Parksville; twelve grandchildren, Bastian Wayne, James Thomas Wayne, Caitlin (Curtis) Phillips, Hannah Wrenn, Johnathon (Kristin) Barnett, Renea (Ray) Pardo-Mendez, Justine (Justin) Bicknell, Keith (Lisa) Bicknell, Brandy (Clint) Strickland-McElhany, Michael (Andrea) Strickland, Cody (Debbie) Strickland; nine great-grandchildren, Harley Barnett, Savanna McElhany, Mish Walker, Erick Walker, Melanie Martin, Alexis Bicknell, Rachel Bicknell, Jenna Bicknell and Keaton Bicknell and a baby boy due to arrive on Father’s Day. The funeral service will be at 1 pm, Monday, May 7, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.  Rev. Scott Vifquain and Pastor Brian Montgomery will officiate.   Pallbearers will be J.T. Wayne, Johnathon Barnett, Bobby Caldwell, Logan Oliver, Chris Charles, Brandon Pelfrey, Keith Bicknell Jr., and Bastian Wayne.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Hogue, Johnny King, Erick Hogue, Michael Strickland, Keith Bicknell Sr. Harold Wilhite Cody Strickland and Ray Pardo-Mendez.  Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be after 4 pm, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.  Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice.   The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.   3. As cousins living apart in different States, I remember well our occasional get- togethers at the \”King Ranch\”. Now that Joyce is gone, another link in our earthly family chain will be missed.
