Joyce A. Burchett

Joyce A. Burchett, 68, died Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born in Danville on December 25, 1950 to the late Ralph and Myrtle Gibson Boyd. She was retired Floor Supervisor from RedWing Shoes. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many. She loved her family and her dog, Powder. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one sister. She is survived by her husband, David J. Burchett; two daughters, Candace Taylor, Wendy (Edward) Egolf; one son, David J. (Charlotte) Burchett Jr.; two brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Hazel Mattingly, Jansyn and Weston Brown. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Henry Anness will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael Mattingly, Austin Egolf, Ethan Burchett, Edward Egolf, Darrell Bryant and Forrest Stevens. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., prior to the service, Monday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to American Cancer Society.
