Joseph Patrick Haas, 76, died on September 27, 2025.  He was born on August 10, 1949, in Louisville to the late Ray and Martha O’Bryan Haas.  Joseph was an US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.  He was an avid reader of sci-fi and fantasy novels.  Joseph loved sitting with his wife, watching and making fun of old and bad sci-fi and horror movies.  He was responsible for fixing the things other members of his family broke. Joseph was a UK fan.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Carol and Bonita, and a brother Stanley.

Joseph is survived by his wife Dahlia Hays Haas, daughter, Leah Haas, son, John Haas, granddaughter, Eri Hampton, sisters, Joan, Debra and Melissa, and brothers, Robert, Wayne, James, and Daniel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  The Celebrant will be Father Danny Schwendeman.  Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am prior to the service.  Burial will be at 2:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and American Legion: Saufley Post #18.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
