JoAnn Smith, 73, died March 13,2020 in Danville. Born July 25, 1946 in Casey County to the late Dorothy Marie King. JoAnn previously worked for Fruit of the Loom factory in Jamestown. She was a member of Southland Christian Church. JoAnn loved to sew, make quilts,cook, play solitaire, and “texting” on Facebook messenger. She loved her dogs,especially her grand dog, Zoey. JoAnn provided childcare to many children and was referred to as“Nanny” by them. She loved flowers, shopping and getting her nails done. JoAnn loved her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son,Frankie Lee Smith and one brother, Gary Campbell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert Smith; one daughter, Kathy Smith of Danville; one son,Shawn (Lynsey) Smith of Danville; one brother, Jerry (Clydene) Campbell ofLiberty; two grandchildren, Jeremy Trent Miracle, Hailey Renee Smith and one great-grandchild, Bentley Miracle.   1. JoAnn was such a sweet, beautiful lady – a great friend and neighbor to my mom and dad. I always enjoyed seeing and talking with her when I would visit my parents in Danville. May God give JoAnn\’s family peace and comfort. I will really miss her, may she rest in peace.
