Joan was a kind heart!
I first met Joan in 1966 on my first day at work for KU. She was a super efficient department secretary, helping newcomers like myself to know the ins and outs of the Central Division Engineering office in Danville. . Joan remained on the job many years, and was always helpful, polite and cheerful. We parted ways a few years after after but I stayed in touch. After retirement she was asked to manage the retired employees organization and did so with her usual skill. She comes from a longtime KU family. I will miss her.
I\’m so sad to learn of her passing. She was always friendly and cheerful. Sad to lose another KU \’family\’ member.
Joan was such a down-to-earth, sweet person. She worked with my husband at KU from when he began in 1969. I will miss her honesty and common sense. My sincere condolences to her family and to our KU family.
Miss Joan was the sweetest person when we worked at Cracker Barrel together she took me under her wing and trained me! She will be severely missed!! Prayers for the whole family!
I worked with Joan for many years at Ky Utilities Co. She was always friendly and helpful. After I got a promotion in the Engineering Dept., she filled the vacancy that I left. She had lots of friendships and leaves a void for them.
