Jerry Don ‘Bucky’ Pendygraft, 74, died Saturday, February 26, 2022, at UK Medical Center. He was born in Parksville on April 25, 1947, to the late Ollie and Dena Harris Pendygraft. Bucky was a graduate of Parksville High School. He believed in hard work and enjoyed his career in Construction and Carpentry work. Bucky was a good man and enjoyed life. He loved his family and training younger boys the trade of carpentry. Bucky had a larger-than-life personality and enjoyed socializing. He enjoyed playing music, singing and going on ATV rides. Bucky took pride in completely restoring his 1955 two door hard top Chevy. He loved his rottweiler dogs. Buck was always willing to help others and every time he greeted a child, he had a dollar for them. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters, Delores West, Doris Case, Margaret Bradshaw, Theresa Southerland, Arlene Milburn. He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Peggy Pendygraft; son, Joshua Pendygraft; daughters Lisa M. Carey, Tina R. Pendygraft; brother, Nicky Pendygraft; sister, Millie ‘Pug’ West; grandchildren, Amanda, Ashtin, Derek, Tyler; great grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Gavin and Lane. The funeral service will be 2pm, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. JR Fields will officiate. Pallbearers will be Frankie West, Scotty West, Marty West, Ricky ‘Rat’ Belcher, Lee Durham, Jimmy Mason, and Mark Privett. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Baker, Bo Grugin, Alan Ellis, Joe Overstreet, and Ricky Preseley. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
