  16. Jason

A father, a husband, a son no more.
Ushered from this life, to death’s open door.
A candle snuffed out, way too soon.
With those left behind, it opened a wound.
A space now void of a presence once felt.
Trying to cope with the loss they’ve been dealt.
They say a man is a man, by what he puts forth.
Yet it’s their love for him that gave him his worth.
Now gone, but he’ll never be far.
For he’ll live on forever, in each of their hearts.
