James Chenault Webb, 75, died Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born in Danville on April 16, 1946, to the late James Houston and Mildred Merit Webb. James was a graduate of Danville High School and later worked as a Maintenance Technician for Allison Abrasives. He was an avid fan of Stock Car and Dirt Track Racing. James loved to be outside fishing and hunting. He enjoyed helping his brother-in-law with his race team.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Inez Cain of Liberty; sons, James Timothy Webb (Mona Winburn) of Cynthiana, Michael Travis Webb of Danville; granddaughter, Gracie Michelle Webb and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be 1pm, Friday, April 1, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Cain, Tony Crowe, Josh Crowe, Ray Phillips, Derrick Hundley and Rob Cloyd. Allen and Sheila Cain will sing. Visitation will be 5pm – 7pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Please sign the online guestbook and send a Hugs from Home.

I am so very sorry to hear this. I knew him since 1st grade, we lived in the same neighborhood and our mother\’s worked at the same place, so it was a nice surprise to meet him again on FaceBook. I always remember him as such a nice guy…….my most sincere sympathy to all of his family.

James has been, and will always remain, a cherished part of Allison Abrasives. Many worked with him, many were close to him, and many stayed close following his retirement. All of Allison Abrasives joins with his family and friends in morning his loss.

I only met James once in my life at my grandfather\’s funeral, he was my grandmother\’s step- brother and was a kind man! Sad to hear of his passing.
