James Thomas \"Tom\" Johnson was born on July 23, 1946 to the late Buddy and Martha Johnson. Tom unexpectedly passed away on May 3, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Survived by a loving wife of 54 years Linda Carolyn Broyles Johnson; a son Jeremy Johnson (Mandy), a sister Mary Frances King, four grandchildren; Jordan Johnson, Blake Mardis, Hunter Jeffries & Harper Jeffries and nephews, Bobby Chapin and Sammy Chapin. He was also preceded in death by a brother Glen Johnson. Tom enjoyed many different things throughout his life such as fast cars, 4-wheel drive pickups, operating heavy equipment, riding horses, golfing, and farming. Tom was a UK Wildcats fan. Tom loved being with family, and he was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. Tom has dedicated his time and effort into several construction companies throughout the course of his journey. He was the leading founder of Todd Johnson Contracting, Inc. Tom spent his whole life to the very last second, working hard for his family that he loved dearly and he was a servant of God. Tom was a loving, caring, and giving man who always had positive thoughts and saw the best in everyone. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. JR Fields will officiate. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City, with burial at the Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur \"Bo\" Grugin, Blake Mardis, Justin Ray, Hunter Jeffries, Harper Jeffries, Philip Coffman, Spincer King. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie \"Chuckie\" Ray, Dr. Charles Grigsby, Greg Crabtree, Joe Overstreet, Bucky Pendygraft, Donnie Rogers, Ronnie and Judy Satterly and all employees of Todd Johnson Contracting, Inc. Visitation: after 5 pm, Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City Service: 11 am, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City Burial: Parksville Cemetery
