James Lee Cutter, 81, died December 3, 2021, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born October 15, 1940, he was the son of the late George William and Della Kelton Cutter. Among his many jobs, James was an engineer for Whirlpool, ran Cutter trucking, and was the owner and operator at Slo’s Dairy Dip. He enjoyed woodworking and watching Nascar. He is predeceased by his wife of twenty-six years, Carolyn Cutter. James is survived by his three daughters, Jackie (Johnny Spears) Cutter, Jody (Robbie) Mattingly, and Stefanie (Jerrod) Elam; two sons, James Lee Cutter II and Bryon McQuerry; twelve grandchildren, Casey Galbreath, Cheyenne Elam, Desaray (Jacob) Bowman, James “Tee” Davenport, Tiffinie (Dennie Martin II) Jones, Jerry (Shatoniah) Jones II, Jonathon McQuerry, Daniel McQuerry, Jesse (Nikki) Mattingly, James Tyler Mattingly, Jake Mattingly and Anthony Shell; eleven great-grandchildren, Rennick Bowman, Devron King, Cloe King, Dennie Martin III, Austin Jones, Dominic Jones, Kingston Jones, Roselynn Jones, Creed Mattingly, Case Mattingly, and Ella Mattingly; and an uncle Charlie Simpson, who was like a brother to him. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev JR Fields and Rev Jolene Bailey will officiate the service. Burial will be at Junction City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones II, Jonathon McQuerry, Daniel McQuerry, Jesse Mattingly, James Tyler Mattingly, Jake Mattingly, Devron King, Jacob Bowman, Dennie Martin II, Austin Jones, and Kingston Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Galbreath, Cheyenne Elam, Desaray Bowman, Tiffinie Jones, Rennick Bowman, Dominic Jones, Cloe King, Roselynn Jones, Creed Mattingly, Case Mattingly, Ella Mattingly, Roy Miller, Lerin Lambur, James “Tee” Davenport, and Dennie Martin III. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to St Jude’s Children Hospital.
