Jackson \"J.W.\" Wood Chambers, 85, of Danville died June 8, 2018. He was born June 22, 1932 in Boyle County to the late Buford Wood and Maudie Alice Searcy Chambers. He worked for Corning/Phillips for 42 years. J.W. was predeceased by his sister Gladys Chambers Miller. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Noel Chambers, his brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. Nelson Reynolds and Donald Lear officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Keene, David Keene, Jerry Fisher, Eric Noel, Brandon Newton, and David Mitchell. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 11 a.m., Tuesday until the service.

He was a good kind man!
I worked with J.W. for many years, he was a good honest man and was a very hard worker. He came to see me many times over the past several years, He was a good friend, I loved him. I was related to him through the Searcy\’s. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones . My Buddy will be missed. God Bless
