Isabel McLauchlan Hibbs, 90, died on September 25, 2025. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1935, to the late Alexander and Elizabeth McCory McLauchlan. In addition to her parents, Isabel is predeceased by her husband Damon Hibbs.
Isabel is survived by her sons, William (Cheri) Hibbs, Robert (Marie) Hibbs, Steven Hibbs, Paul (Georgette) Hibbs, and Brian (Julie) Hibbs, sister, Ernistine (Ron) Steinberger, nine grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
There will be a graveside service at Hardin Memorial Park in Elizabethtown at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Isabel was one of the sweetest souls I have ever called my friend. She fought, and loved her family so hard. Never complaining and forever with a smile. I know she is in a wonderful place with no pain and suffering. Rest easy my little sweet friend, I will see you in heaven one day, and I will miss you!
Ooooh my sweet friend. How she loved to be a doer and not just a hearer of God’s word. She stitched and donated oodles of clothes for me to take to the children of Derac, Haiti. And she donated fabric to me so I could create stuffed bears and goat pillows to sell and raise funds for our friends in Haiti. She was such a calming spirit for me in this world of utter chaos.
