Irvin Lee Worthington, Sr., 87, of Parksville, Kentucky went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 9, 2017.  He was born at his home near Danville, Kentucky on February 2, 1930, to Obie Sr. and Betty Montgomery Worthington.  He was the owner of Worthington’s Grocery and Furniture store on White Oak Rd. in Junction City for 30 years.  He loved fishing, farming, singing, and reading the Bible with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anna Mae Jupin Worthington and his great-grandson Levi Edward Baker.  He was also preceded in death by four brothers:  James (Lucy), Obie (Margaret) Jr., Walter Everett (Barbara and Dottie), and Bobbie Joe (Jessie), and a sister Louise (Ancil) Worthington Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 13 ½ years, Betty Jean Godbey Worthington, two sons:  Irvin Lee (Judy Clarkson) Worthington Jr., and Gary Wayne (Lora Crowe) Worthington, a special nephew Brad (Gail) Wilson,  a step-daughter Sharon (Michael) Dunning; four grandchildren, Pamela (Craig) Worthington, Amanda (Kris) Worthington Scott, Johnny (Tammy) Worthington, and Travis Leffew; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Scott, Johannah and Kelsey Worthington, and Dustin Leffew; four step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren, four sisters:  Mary Elizabeth (Bob) Langford, Imogene (Marshall) Hart, Anna Wilma (Kenny) Coffman, and Betty Lou (Reuben) Derringer, and lots of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1p.m., April 12, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.  Bro. Donald Lear and Bro. James McDonald will officiate.  Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Worthington, Kris Scott, Henry Clarkson, Travis Leffew, Brad Wilson, and Billy Curtsinger. Honorary pallbearers are Bro. Donald Lear, Glen Steinberger, Tom Byrd, Dr. Finley Hendrickson, Archie Coffman, Pete Owens, Arthur Hogue, Lewis Hogue, Roger (Mudd) Gilpin, and “Bum-Shy” Hardin.  Visitation will be 5 – 9,  on April 11, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
