Howard Price Lewis, 71, died Monday, November 16, 2020. He was born in Danville on December 11, 1948 to the late Miller Harvey and Catherine Christine Taylor Lewis. Howard loved being with his family and interacting with all the kids. He enjoyed being outdoors, dancing, cowboys and watching U.K. sports. Howard would always diagnose what he thought you needed to do for your car. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by three sisters, Nancy Yocum, Sarah Margaret Medley, Amelia Lewis; five brothers, James Lewis, Miller Lewis, Jr., John Lewis, Lindsey “Burt” Lewis and Richard Lewis and a nephew Chris Yocum.
He is survived by three sisters, Edith Meaux, Katherine Marie Butts, Angie Taylor; nieces and nephews, Mary Katherine, Anthony, Lisa, Bryan, Johnny, Eddie, Billy, Dianne, Portia, Je`Nae, Antonio, Debra, Justin, Leticia, Tabecca, Bryan, James, Samarah, Demetrius; special great nephews, Lyfe Taylor, Easton Taylor and Jaciyon George; a special friend, Donald Lancaster, James Lancaster; brother-in-law, Casey Medley; sisters-in-law Sandra Beasley Lewis and Doris Lewis and a host of extended family and friends.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday. Howard’s niece, Leticia Yocum will speak. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery. Please sign the online guestbook or send a Hugs from Homes.

Our Condolences to The Lewis Family. We met Howard many years ago when he lived on South Street in Danville. He was always happy to see us stop by and offered to help Joe, then enjoyed a ride in the truck to go for a treat. He was a caring soul. Prayers for your comfort and peace.
