Harold J. \"Red\" Crawford, 87, of Walnut Creek and formerly of Danville, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio. He was born July 11, 1929 in Dunbar, West Virginia to the late James and Kathryn (Eckhart) Crawford. He was predeceased by all of his beloved Crawford siblings. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and from the Whirlpool Corporation. He served in the Human Resources departments in both companies. He attended St. John\'s United Church of Christ in Walnut Creek. He was a former member of The Presbyterian church in Danville. He is survived by his wife Anne C. Crawford; two daughters Anne E. (Tim) Bess and Jean M. (Tony Griffin) Crawford both of Danville; four stepsons Wayne (Joyce) Carroll of Suffolk, Virginia, Mark (Lynn) Carroll of Corapeake, North Carolina, Kevin (Kris) Carroll, and Todd Carroll, all of Suffolk, Virginia; granddaughter Christie M. (Chris) Jackson of Danville, Kentucky and grandson Tim (Amber) Bess, of Danville, Kentucky; Ashley Carroll, Kelsey Wagner, Kendall Carroll, and Kirsten Carroll, all of Suffolk, Virginia; great grandchildren Ryan Alexander Jackson, Camron Isaiah Cruz Jackson, and Eliza Londyn Jackson, all of Danville, Kentucky. He had an angel great grandson Roman Cruz Jackson. Additional great grandchildren include Torian Bess, Tajuan Bess, and Lincoln Bess, all of Danville, Kentucky. He is also survived by his step great grandson Christopher (Rebecca) Jackson and his great-great grandchildren Nevaeh, Saylor, and Draven Jackson, all of Burgin, Kentucky. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11AM at St. John\'s United Church of Christ in Walnut Creek, Ohio.
