Danville has lost a great man and father. He always put others before himself. When I was sick Greg came and fixed my satellite so I could get Louisville channels even though he was a UK fan. He later told me that once he got his house built he wanted me to do his landscaping because he liked doing business with his friends. I did that landscaping and he joked that he had a forest in his back yard and we laughed about that. He was a wonderful man and God bless his kids and his family. I was proud to call Greg my friend. He was a great man
Been a long week. Thought I would share a story about my friend Greg Ballard. I started working for him about 20 years ago. There was never a dull day with him. He liked to laugh so that\’s what he tried to make you do everyday. If it wasn\’t for Greg I would have never meet my wife Emily. I had taken a week to go fishing with Pops, and I had gotten home and called up to the office to see if we needed any work done and this Angel \”new girl named Emily\”, answered the phone. So I took off for the shop to check out the NEW GIRL. I got up there and Greg was in the back so I walked through the back door and asked Greg who she was. We talked about her for a few minutes and I went in an introduced myself. It felt like I fumbled over every word talking to her. My heart was skipping its beats. I walked into the back to Greg just sitting there laughing at me. Lol. He looked at me and said, well brother that went well. Lol a week or two go by and we had our first date and it was fate. We had been dating about six months and Greg told me he had never seen two people who were made for each other like Emily and I and expected us to be married with in the year and he was right. He said it would last forever and he is right. Greg you will never know what you have done for Emily. A friend to her and one of the best boss\’s she has ever had. Taught her how to deal with men in the Big Business world and she succeed\’s and has surpassed men in the Big Business world. You were the older brother she never had my friend. Thank you for being you. We will desperately miss you.
Sending many Prayers

I have no pics just a few words. Just want to say thank you Greg Ballard for being my good friend during the best days of my life. I will never forget you buddy. I have all those memories of the times we spent together. Man were they the funnest and happiest times. Rest easy my brother. I will miss you dearly.

May God comfort you
One thing Greg loved was to entertain people and make sure everyone was having a GREAT TIME! He loved when everyone was together and he always did something to make the gathering the best it possibly could be! One could say that he just wanted everyone to always have a good time and have the time of there life! It was ALWAYS a great time when doing something when Greg was involved! My friend, my brother…you will be missed by many! I love you, Greg!
Prayers for strength & comfort
We are keeping Greg\’s family in our heart and prayers. We know he was an amazing father, son, brother, and friend. Peace be with you.
In rememberance of Greg Ballard: Greg was not only the life of the party, to me he was the epitome of life. First, I would like to thank Jeff Glasscock for introducing me to Greg. Also, I would like to thank Wally Atmore, Jerry Bradshaw, DeWayne Sutherland, & Paige Terry for the most memorial times of my adolescence life with Greg. Furthermore, I would like to thank Mike Swain for his motivational skills in guiding everyone around him toward success. Greg\’s passion for music will always influence me. With him, I was around the building of the Oh Hell speaker at Alex Newman\’s home which was an irreplaceable memory along with witnessing those speakers blast out DHS lobby during several of their school dances. Growing up, his brother Ronnie was in my eyes Rocky Balboa. His Mom was better than a NBA referee when it comes to indoor nerf basketball. Greg was not just a good friend, he defined what friendship was about. He was there for me during the best & worst times of my life. He was in my wedding & he was there for me during my diagnosis of bipolar. Greg not only showed me how to respect others, but how to earn respect by respecting yourself. Greg\’s humor and contagious laughter was an absolute must to be around. In honour of him & our continuous pursuit of \”riding each other out\” peace be with you Bird. May your chirps always be with me.
