Mildred Geraldine Wofford Steinberger, 90, of Junction City, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1932, to the late E.V. and Essie Purdom Wofford. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Freeman Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and loved to “go.” In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Gene Steinberger; a daughter, Dianna Steinberger; a son, Dennis Steinberger; two sisters, Annabelle Edwards and Mary Lee Lanham; and four brothers, Omas Wofford, James Thomas Wofford, Peg Wofford, and L.V. Wofford.
She is survived by a son, Darrel (Marilyn); two grandchildren, Aleta (Josh) Worland and Kristi (David) Cochran; and five great-grandchildren, Hailey Cannon, Addison Cannon, Olivia Worland, Brady Cochran, and Trevor Cochran.
The visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, at Stith Funeral home in Junction City, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, Kentucky. Rev. Curtis Brock will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dustin Phillips, Josh Warland, David Cochran Jr., Brady Cochran, Trevor Cochran, Hailey Cannon, and Addison Cannon. Honorary pallbearers with be Olivia Worland, Teddy Walker, Oneith Fitzgerald, Donnie Pennington, Gary Phillips, Pamela Phillips, and Morse Trainer. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery.
