Frances Marie Edwards

Frances Marie Edwards, 91, passed away at Charleston Healthcare, Monday, June 3, 2019 in the presence of God and her loving family. She was born in Danville on February 27, 1928 to the late Alva and Lula Leath Dunn Willoughby. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Granville Davis “Pete” Edwards; her son, Stephen Edwards; two daughters, Janice Elaine Carey and Sandra Davis Yates.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Leath Edwards; nine grandchildren, Alison “Sissy” (Beth) Glasscock, Bobby (Candie) Glasscock, Tim (Tracey) Yates, Pete Yates, Dana (Troy) Ellis, Jann (Bobby) Edington, Stephanie (Jarod) Feeback, Frank (Jennifer) Edwards, Stanley (Tammy) Durochea; fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Rev. Phillip Coffman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bobby Glasscock, Jordan Glasscock, Justin Glasscock, Troy Ellis, Billy Carey, Justin Feeback and Frank Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loving spouses of those gone way too soon. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Stith Funeral Home.
