Florence Rose Thurman

Florence Rose Tunis Thurman, 85, died Friday, December 15, 2017. She was born in N. Judson, Indiana on April 16, 1932 to the late Elijah and Rose Tunis. In addition to her parents, Florence is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Thurman, a daughter Sally Oldfield, two brothers, Leroy and Pete Tunis, two sisters, Janet Perez and Elnor Tunis. She is survived by eight children, Roy (Felicia) Tunis, Marshal Maxwell, Daisy Berry, Penny Llamas, Manuel (Deetra) Llamas, Carlos (Mary) Llamas, Tina Llamas, Robin (Robert) Jones, Mary (George) Penix; twenty-one grandchildren, Roy Tunis, Charles Penix, Taquisha Penix, Nikki Jones, Johnathan Llamas, Manuel Story, Marquice Penix, Shaina Jones, Donnie Woolridge, Rico Penix, Jalee Penix, Whitney Llamas, Haley Llamas, Caleb Penix, Contessa Slaughter, Sheila Willis, Donita Berry, Scottie Berry, Tabitha Berry, Anastasia Llamas; twenty-five great-grandchildren; a sister Shirley Tunis. The funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Southside Christian Church, 1950 Danville Road, Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Rev. Seth Widner will officiate. Pallbearers will be Charles Penix, Marquice Penix, Manuel Story, Donnie Woolridge, Jalee Penix and Carlos Llamas. Honorary pallbearers will be William Bartleson, Carlos Carmona, Bentley Jones and Emanuel Holloman. Interment will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
