Flora Ann Crain, 75, died on June 20, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1951 to the late Harold and Thelma Warren Crain in Danville, Kentucky.

Flora graduated from Boyle County High School in 1969, later graduating from Campbellsville University. She was a substitute teacher at Danville and Boyle County schools. She loved to sing, singing at many different churches, and was a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church. Flora was well-loved and always happy.

Flora is survived by one brother, Marvin Stuart Crain.

A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on July 2, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home of Danville, with Rev. Phillip Coffman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on July 2, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home of Danville. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville, Kentucky.

      You surprised us all by your passing! So very sorry, my Friend! We never got to say goodbye! I will sincerely miss being with you, as we encouraged each other in the Lord!
      Now you will have no more difficult, painful days, and no longer having to check your insulin levels! Yea! And you are with Jesus! And you have no more worries with paying the bills! Hallelujah!
      You helped many special children in your earlier years, bravo! Enjoy eternity, and tell Jesus we cannot wait to be with Him and You all! It won’t be long! To you, Flora, my genuine friend, I made through Walmart! Until we all visit with you, again!

    • Prayers of Peace and Comfort for all that new her. We was all close growing up in a small community. She would always say the Freda was her birthday present. Freda was born on May 19. Flora Ann birthday. She had a beautiful voice. She has sung at all my family’s funerals. Now she is singing in God’s choir. Miss you Flora Ann and love you. Please give Freda a big hug for me. May you rest in peace 💔

  10. Ms Flora always kept an uplifting spirit and kind heart. I learned that her and Marvin, my nanny and my great uncle all grew up together and thought a lot of each other and their families. She was always so proud of me and encouraged me every time we spoke. You will be so missed Ms Flora, sending love and prayers to Marvin, family and friends!

  12. As a kid in school I loved walking in the classroom and seeing Ms Crain! She was not only a great teacher but a great friend of our family. I know she is pain free and rejoicing with Our Heavenly Father.

  14. Have always loved Flora, can’t remember our first meeting, seems like I’ve know her all my life. The one thing I remember is she always pushed through no matter how tough the battle was and she loved our Lord. Rest in peace my friend your earthly troubles and pain are gone, we’ll meet again!

  15. I met this kind woman in Walmart years ago when I moved to Harrodsburg. She was friendly, warm and always took time to talk with me. I found out today while in Walmart of her passing. I will miss seeing her and am glad to know I’ll see her again in Heaven.

  16. I will miss you, my friend. You were an amazing friend to mom as you walked through your cancer journey together. Mama was called home, but you still had work here on earth. You have completed your race now and are seeing eternity. Thank you for our long talks and your kind heart. Give mama hugs for me. 💖

    • Your death came as a shock. I was supposed to leave this world before you. You promised to sing at my funeral. Growing up as children we never knew what life would bring us, and bad health was sure not what we wished for. God had different plans for us that made us stronger women to do HIS work. You will be missed my childhood friend. So many people loved you. See you soon and then you can sing for me 🩷

  19. Dear Flora, You always came to talk to me when you came in Danville Walmart. We had many conversations. Laughed and cried at times and even prayed together..I know you will be missed by many ! Rest high sweet lady and special friend!
