Filomena Sanson
March 8, 1938 ~ September 19, 2020
Filomena Campo Lacida Sanson, 82, died September 19, 2020. Born on March 8, 1938 in Cebu, Philippines, daughter of the late Nicanor Villoria and Amada Lacida. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Eastern Star. Fely spoke four languages and had traveled all over the world. She also loved traveling back to the Philippines to be with her children, from her former partner, Rogelio Cabradilla Sr. (deceased) and grandchildren. When Fely was not traveling, she would cook huge meals for everyone and organized get-togethers with her closest friends. They would sing karaoke and enjoy each other’s company. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Emerson “Bud” Sanson, her siblings, and her son in the Philippines, Jerson Lacida.
She is survived by her boyfriend of 12 years, Luther Stevens; her four children, Devorah Lacida, Richard Lacida, Clifford Lacida and Roy Lacida; and her seventeen grandchildren, Jia , Joshua Jr., Jezer, Cliven, Marygreth, Shemna, Charie, Chaira, Charmaine, Ronette, Bernard, Frederick, Charzea, Roshem, Heavenleigh, Lyndon and Jerson. She may be gone forever but she would always be remembered as a loving mother who would sacrifice everything just for her children. Indeed, a true friend who is well-loved and respected by everyone.
The funeral mass will be at 11 am, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Ss. Peter and Paul. The celebrant will be Father Anthony McLaughlin. The online guestbook and our Hugs from Home instructions are available at www.stithcares.com.
