Ermalene Fralix Evans passed away May 8, 2020 at her home in Danville, Ky. Born April 10, 1933 in Brooksville, she was the daughter of James E and Christine Barnes Fralix and the sister of James B.(Linda) Fralix. On December 31, 1954, she married H. Sherwood Evans. For 64 years, prior to his death, they worked together in multiple ministries, most recently at Indian Hills Christian Church where she is still a member. They were an invaluable example of a loving, dedicated and supportive marriage. She was a champion for her family: daughters Janna Sue (Danny) Rigney, Leah Evans and Tina (Stuart) Jackson; grandchildren Emily (Josh) Rigney Wright, Daniel Evans Rigney, Wyatt Powell Jackson and Cooper Fralix Jackson; great-granddaughter Kylie Rhae Wright; and nephew Michael James Fralix.. She was a force behind all their accomplishments and a true cheerleader for all. Throughout her life, Ermalene cultivated and maintained strong relationships. She will be missed by her family and all who called her a friend. There will be a private service for the family on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Her grandchildren and sons-in-law will be pallbearers. Even though we cannot gather, we recognize the Kum-Join-Us Sunday School Class as honorary pallbearers. We welcome any church family and friends who want to share this time with us to please line the processional route from Indian Hills Christian Church to Bellevue Cemetery along Lexington Ave. beginning at 11:45 am on Tuesday. A gathering in celebration of Ermalene\'s life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to Sayre Christian Village and Indian Hills Christian Church. The online guestbook and the Hugs from Home program cards are available at www.stithcares.com and the Stith Funeral Home Facebook page.
