Elsie Francis Calhoun Boswell, 91, died May 14, 2022. She was born December 26, 1930 in Boyle County, daughter of the late Frank Taylor and Margaret Elder Calhoun. Elsie graduated from Forkland High School and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, watching the hummingbirds at the bird feeder, and her grand dog Jasper. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, James Calvin Boswell; and brother, Jimmy Calhoun.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kitty (Craig) Bell of Danville, Ayse (Michael) Wise of Knoxville, Tennessee; a son, W. Frank Boswell of Danville; and four grandchildren, Jake Bell, Carly Boswell, Beau Wise and Sam Wise.
Visitation will be 11 am to 12 pm, Friday, May 27, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville, with a service to follow at 12 pm. Rev. Mark Payton will officiate. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Boswell, Michael Wise, Beau Wise, Jake Bell, Chester Kavanaugh, Rodney West, Sam Wise, and David Shelton.
