Ella Jean Johnson Covey, 82, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 peacefully at home.  Jean was born in LaGrange, Kentucky on June 28, 1938 to the late Park and LouAnn Henry Johnson.  She was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church. Jean loved her church and enjoyed gardening.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, William Arthur Covey and a brother, John Charles Johnson. She is survived by three sons, William (Norma) Covey of Huntingburg, Indiana, Stan (Georgetta) Covey of Danville and Richard ( Jeanne) Covey of Junction City; two sisters, Etta Sparks and Irene Gillespie of Irvine; six grandchildren Chris (Wendy) Burton, Jason (Lori) Burton, Megan (Bob) Bosley, Chad Poynter, Adrian (Olivia) Covey, Aaron (Lauren) Covey and sixteen great grandchildren. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.  Rev. Travis Farris will officiate.  Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chad Poynter, Zachary Poynter, Matthew Poynter, Stan Covey, Michael Sparks and Jason Burton.  Visitation will be 11am-1pm, prior to the service, on Wednesday.  Memorial donations are suggested to Hedgeville Baptist Church.  Please sign the guestbook and send a Hugs from home.
