Elizabeth “Liz” Belcher Moreland, 52, of Danville, Ky, passed away on December 27, 2022. Elizabeth was born on September 16, 1970, to Gary and Julia “Karol” Belcher in Danville, KY. After graduating from Boyle County High School in 1988, she went on to graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and then earned a master’s in public administration, also from Eastern Kentucky University. In 1995 Elizabeth met Jamie Moreland and they were married on October 2, 1998. They have three children: Lilliana Moreland, Danielle Moreland, and Evan Moreland. In her professional career, Elizabeth worked for 22 years as a case worker and a community resource coordinator for New Vista of the Bluegrass. Liz was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband Jamie. Liz is preceded in death by her father Gary Belcher and her mother Julia “Karol” Wilkins. Along with her husband and children, Liz is also survived by her brother Shawn (Laurie) Belcher, her sister Joanne (Chris) Searcy, Nephews Maxwell (Mckenna) Searcy and Zachary Spencer, nieces Megan (Brian) Bell and Ellie Searcy, great nephew Salem Isaac Searcy, great niece Pearl Searcy, loyal pet Ivy, and many other friends and family. The memorial service will be 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Visitation will be 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Junction City, Kentucky.
