Edward M. Rall, 94, died Friday, March 16, 2018. He was born October 19, 1923 in Beattyville, Ky., son of the late George D. and Mary Flanery Rall. Following his service in U.S. Army  and serving in  World War II, he graduated from Centre College and began a career in finance. He retired from Centre College after a long career as Financial Vice President.   He is survived by his wife, Bess Rall, daughter, Susan Rall of Dallas, Texas, and niece and nephews, Edward (Denise) Rall of Danvile, John (Margaret) Rall of Murray, Ky., Elaine Rall of Frankfort and Jim Rall, and several great nieces and nephews.   The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at The Presbyterian Church. Rev. Rollin Tarter and Dr. Eric Mount will officiate. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Memorial donations are suggested to The Presbyterian Church.   4. I loved this man. He was the smartest, calmest, steadiest, friendliest boss I ever had in my working life. I learned so much from Ed, not the least of which was \”start saving money in your young years so that you will have some in your old years\”. My prayers for Bess and Susan.

  6. A person who is 20 and one who is 90 have little in common, but it’s a testament to Ed that he was so easy to approach and become close to. Epitome of a role model.
