Dianne L Edwards
August 17, 1951 ~ May 19, 2021
Dianne Leath Edwards, 69, died May 19, 2021. Born August 17, 1951 in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Granville Davis “Pete” and Frances Marie Willoughby Edwards. Dianne was a loving mother and member of Parksville Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her siblings, Steven Wayne Edwards, Janice Elaine Carey, and Sandra Davis Yates.
Dianne, also known as ‘Poochie’ in the family, was a selfless mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She made lots of friends through the bank, whether you were a customer or coworker- you were welcomed. Dianne made the best pies, lemon and chocolate most notably. They were always requested. If you drove by, you always spotted flowers out. A gardener and porch lover to a fault. Storyteller by heart. Dianne would use her beautiful big green eyes on her coloring books, crosswords, or word search with a Pepsi close by. But don’t you touch her crossword puzzles. If the television was on…it was either oldies, country music or the news. A local weather enthusiast and Tom Ackerman’s biggest fan. If you were to travel, she would always have you bring back a magnet because she felt she experienced a piece of it through you. A homebody by nature but every person was welcome where she was. She was as unique as her middle name and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dana Marie (Troy) Ellis of Stanford, and Jann S. Edington of Danville; her partner, William “Mick” B. Cornett; four grandchildren, Robert David Lee Ellis, Amber Ellis Sims, Miranda Leath Ellis Rivera, and Emilee Dianne Edington; four great-grandchildren, Jayde, Dakota, and Beth Rothwell, and Phoenix Noelle Rivera; and a special niece/sister, Alison (Sis) Glasscock-Arnold.
